FOBISSEA U15 GROUP C GAMES 2009
The U15 FOBISSEA C School Games were hosted by St. Stephen's International School and held in Bangkok from October 28 - 31, 2009. In total 8 schools competed in the The Games. These schools were: St. Stephen's International School, Bangkok, St. John's International School, Bangkok, Regent’s School, Bangkok, St. Andrew's International School, Rayong, Seoul Foreign British School, South Korea, The ABC International School, Vietnam, Kinabalu International School, Malaysia & Kolej Tuanku Ja'Afar, Malaysia.
In total, approximately 150 students competed in The Games. The 3 days of competition proved to be both exhausting and fun for all of the competitors and staff. While everyone wanted to win, I am proud to say that all competitors competed with great spirit and respect, helping to make these games a great example of "The Friendly Games."
Refer to attachements enclosed for details of winners.
In closing, I would like to thank the staff from all of the participating schools for their help and cooperation in making these Games very successful and a truly memorable experience. I would also like to acknowledge and thank St. John's International School for allowing us to use their facilities for the athletics and swimming competitions. St. John's generosity in this area helped to make The Games the success that it was.
The Host School for next year’s U15 Games is The ABC International School, so I would like to take this opportunity to wish them the best of luck!

Under 16 Rugby Development Tournament 2009/10
This is an event which BIS Jakarta has hosted over the last 4 years and which has grown in popularity during that time. This year we hosted UWCSEA and Tanglin Trust School both from Singapore as well as the International School of Kuala Lumpur and Alice Smith School also from KL. Locally we had JIS as well as 2 Indonesian Rugby development teams.
The theme of the tournament is rugby development and the games are differentiated to take into account the level of development of the teams. Due to the structure of the tournament and the excellent refereeing from the expatriate community here in Jakarta the students grew significantly in their confidence, skill and experience over the arduous day of physical competition.
